Itinerary

Welcome. We’ll transfer you to the hotel and you’ll have some free time. In the afternoon, you’ll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.

We’ll set off for the capital of the country, Bern, one of the most beautiful historic cities in Switzerland. We’ll go to the Rose Garden viewpoint to admire the beautiful landscape of the city. We’ll have free time for a walk and lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll get back on the road and head to the French-speaking region of Switzerland, making a stop in Fribourg, a beautiful bilingual city. After that, we’ll travel towards Lake Geneva (commonly known in France as lac Léman) and make a stop in Nyon, a little Roman city on the shore of the lake. From there, we’ll cross Lake Geneva by boat to travel to France. We’ll arrive in Yvoire, a beautiful medieval village with fortified gates, a castle, flowery streets, and beautiful views over the lake. We’ll reach Geneva at the end of the day. Note: Accommodation will usually be in the French outskirts of the town.

After breakfast, we’ll include a panoramic tour in Geneva, a city by Lake Geneva that houses the European headquarters of the International Labor Organization, the Red Cross, and numerous other international entities. We’ll visit the Palais des Nations (headquarters of the United Nations in Europe), the beautiful English Garden with its flower clock, and admire the Jet d’Eau, the tallest fountain in Europe. Passing through vineyard landscapes, we’ll reach Chillon Castle, built on the waters of Lake Geneva. Admission is included to this fantastic medieval castle. Afterward, we’ll visit the picturesque walled village of Gruyeres, known worldwide for its cheese. Nearby, there are several major Swiss chocolate factories (including NESTLE). We’ll visit the Cailler Chocolate Factory, with a tasting included! We’ll continue traveling on smaller roads through bucolic mountain landscapes and picturesque wooden villages, arriving in Leysin, a beautiful holiday village. Dinner will be included. Note: At times, accommodation may be arranged in another Swiss town nestled in the heart of the Alps, often Martigny.

We’ll experience stunning mountain scenery today, so be sure to pack your winter clothes. We’ll ascend to Glacier 3000 by cable car ride, one of the most spectacular spots in Switzerland featuring ice and snow year-round, and where you can walk on the suspended bridge between two mountain peaks, explore the Ice Cathedral, or enjoy the Fun Park. We’ll stop in Interlaken for lunch before traveling to the Aare Gorge. Next, we’ll take the Susten Pass, one of the most beautiful roads in Switzerland between glaciers that will lead us to the Italian-speaking part of the country. We’ll stay overnight in Chiasso, a Swiss town on the border with Italy. Note: Occasionally, due to weather conditions such as rain or strong winds, the cable car to Glacier 3000 may not operate. Additionally, the Susten Pass Road is typically closed from mid-October until the end of May. In such cases, the journey will follow alternative routes.

We’ll visit Lugano, the cosmopolitan capital of Italian Switzerland with its beautiful lake, where we’ll have time to stroll. Continuing along the highway, we’ll cross the Gotthard Road Tunnel and stop in Bürglen, the charming village where William Tell was born. We’ll see the 16th-century chapel adorned with paintings illustrating his life. If you wish, you can also visit the William Tell Museum. In the neighboring city of Altdorf, we’ll find more traces of his history. Our journey will then take us to Lucerne, where we’ll have free time to explore this beautiful city by its namesake lake. Finally, we’ll depart for Zurich, arriving at the end of the day.

After breakfast, our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.
