Itinerary

Arrival to Athens, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Optional Tour: A Night Out in Athens: Dep. 20.15 – Ret. 00.30 – Every Thursday & Saturday Athens by night tour. Your evening begins with a short panoramic drive through the City Center and at the slope of the sacred hill you will be able to see, admire and photo the illuminated Acropolis. Then a pleasant walk through the narrow picturesque streets of Plaka, the old city, will bring you at a Typical Greek Tavern where you will enjoy your dinner following a floor show with live music a Greek Folk Dances in traditional costumes. The mesmerizing and graphic Plaka was developed mostly around the ruins of Ancient Agora of Athens in an area that has been continuously inhabited since antiquity. During the Greek War of Independence, Plaka like the rest of Athens, was temporarily abandoned by its inhabitants because of the severe battles that took place in 1826. The area was repopulated during the first years of King Otto’s rule. Plaka had a sizable Arvanite community till the late 19th century, which led some to refer to it as the Arvanite quarter of Athens. Return to the hotel after midnight. Overnight at hotel.

Our expert guides take you to see the center of the city, Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. Driving down Herod Atticus Street, you will see the Evzones in their authentic uniform and the Presidential Palace. On your way to the Acropolis, you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and you will make a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon. After Breakfast, pick up from the hotel transfer to the port for departure to Santorini Island (duration of trip 2 hours & 40 minutes). Arrival to Santorini Island, you will be met at the port and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Santorini.

After Breakfast, free day at leisure or optional Volcano-Hot Springs-Thirassia -Oia Sunset cruise. Arrival at Athinios Port, where we board on a traditional boat. Our first stop is the volcanic island of Nea Kammeni, where we will hike up a dirt path to the crater of the volcano, which is still active. We continue to the island of Palea Kammeni, where we can swim in the green sulphurous waters or bathe in the warm therapeutic mud. After half an hour, the boat will sail to the charming, traditional island of Thirassia, where you can have lunch at one of the picturesque seafront tavernas or swim at the beach next to the port. The boat tour ends at the village of Oia where we will admire the spectacular colourful sunset. Overnight at the hotel in Santorini.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to port for ferry to Naxos island (90 min). Arrival in Naxos and transfer to the hotel. Naxos is the largest of the Cyclades islands and, definitely, one of the most beautiful Greek islands! It may be a short ferry ride away from the super famous Santorini, Paros and Mykonos islands, but Naxos is relatively unknown, staying (so far) under the mainstream radar. Breakfast at the hotel and day free to explore the archaeological treasures of the island. Naxos is the greenest island of Cyclades. Although it is among the most popular Greek islands, Naxos has managed to keep intact its traditional character. Due to its long history, this is an island with interesting sites and monuments. The Marble Gate of Portara, the statues of Kouros and the temple of Demeter are the most important monuments from the ancient times in Naxos. The Medieval quarter of Kastro and the Monastery of Panagia Drossiani date from most recent years. In general, the island of Naxos is crossed by many hiking paths and routes leading to fantastic sits and picturesque villages. Overnight at the hotel in Naxos.

Breakfast at the hotel. Beaches in Naxos Greece are different than the beaches in other islands of the Cyclades, due to their characteristic length. Most of them have soft white sand and crystal blue waters. The most beautiful sandy beaches are located on the western side of the island, which is also the most touristy developed part. The most famous beaches are Plaka beach, the longest sandy beach on the island, and Agios Prokopios beach. There are considered among the most beautiful beaches in Greece and are well organized with sunbeds, water sports, restaurants and hotels.
